God at Work is modeled around the scripture found in Exodus 17:10-16
So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill. And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. But Moses hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword. And the Lord said unto Moses, Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven. And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovahnissi: For he said, Because the Lord hath sworn that the Lord will have war with Amalek from generation to generation. Exodus 17:10-16 (KJV)
In this scripture we see how Aaron and Hur helped Moses by holding up his hands when he grew tired, so that Joshua could defeat the Amalekites in battle.
Today, God’s people are still fighting battles. A few of these battles which we face in our everyday lives are things like temptation, pornography, financial, anger, depression, stress etc. The enemy uses these things to destroy God’s people.
The Bible says in Ephesians 6:12 (KJV):
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
It is not easy overcoming these things on your own and one does grow tired, but by the Grace of God and the support of our fellow brothers in Christ Jesus, we are able to overcome these obstacles.
And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible. Mark 10:27 (KJV)
We at God at Work would like to come alongside God’s people who are tired of fighting these battles.
To hold up your hands in the spirit so that you can overcome the battles you face in your life and move from being the victim to being the victor.
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Philippians 4:13 (KJV)
